The SIGGRAPH 30th Year Celebration provides an opportunity to look to the future. As part of this celebration, we will have a special exhibit, "Pathways to the Future" at the SIGGRAPH 99 conference. One aspect of this exhibit will be a presentation of artwork called
Do you have ideas about what the future might look like? What will transportation be like? How will we communicate? Will fashion be futuristic or retro? How will we learn, work, and live? Is telecommuting the future of the workplace? Will there be a rebirth of communities, or will we live our lives on-line? Science fiction has shown us many ideas throughout the years ... what's your vision? Take this opportunity to share it with the SIGGRAPH community. Stimulate your peers to think about the future in new and different ways.
The deadline for submissions is 21 April 1999, 5 PM Pacific Time.
To submit your idea:
1. Complete the on-line submission for the Art Gallery at
www.siggraph.org/s99/cfp/forms.
2. Under CATEGORY, type "FUTURE" in the field labeled "OTHER"
3. Post your submission on a web page and include the web address in the
URL field or send
a slide to:
